This AI Disclaimer explains the technical and practical limits of the material previews generated by FLOOR 1 LTD ("Floori"), including candidate images, reveal reels and texture close-ups (collectively, "Outputs"). Read this page before you rely on an Output for any purchase, installation, contracting or budgeting decision. By using the Service you confirm that you have read and accepted this disclaimer alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Outputs are not physical samples

AI-rendered material previews are visual approximations. The Output you see on a screen can differ noticeably from the physical material in your home in any of the following dimensions:

• Colour: the same hex value renders differently on OLED, LCD and e-ink displays, and the underlying AI model normalises colour to render plausibly across all of them. The physical sample may read warmer, cooler or more saturated than the preview.
• Gloss and sheen: matte, satin and gloss finishes are inferred by the model and may not match the brand's product specification. A floor that looks "satin" in the preview may be sold as "matte" or "semi-gloss" in reality.
• Grain, veining and pattern repeat: AI generates a plausible grain rather than a faithful product file. The veining of a marble batch you order will not match the veining in your preview.
• Scale: tile size, plank length and grout-line width shown in a preview are approximations. Always check the brand's dimensions before placing an order.
• Lighting response: we render under a small set of presets (early daylight, midday, golden hour, indoor). Your actual room conditions will differ; finish behaviour at extreme angles or under unusual lighting cannot be inferred from a preview.

Always order a real sample from the brand or merchant before you commit to buying any quantity of a material. We provide price bands as a guide, not a quote.

2. Outputs are not a professional service

Floori is a creative preview tool. It is not, and cannot be used as, a substitute for the following regulated or professional services:

• Structural engineering: Outputs do not assess load, deflection, moisture penetration, span, or sub-floor adequacy.
• Building, planning and conservation control: Outputs are not a basis for permitted-development assessments, listed building consent, or local planning approval.
• Electrical, plumbing and gas safety: Outputs do not encode safe distances from sockets, sinks, hobs, flues or radiators.
• Health and fire safety: some materials are restricted in particular settings (kitchens, escape routes, public areas); Outputs do not perform fire-rating, slip-rating or VOC assessments.
• Cost estimation and quoting: price bands are indicative ranges based on public market data and may be wrong for your region, supplier or quantity.

Decisions in any of these areas require a licensed professional. We recommend speaking with one before any work begins.

3. Outputs are not a contract

Outputs are not, and must not be treated as: a building specification, a quotation, an offer, a binding contract drawing, a measured survey, an as-built record, a heritage statement, or any document on which a third party should act. If a contractor or installer asks for a binding spec, do not give them a Floori preview — give them the brand's product datasheet and a written specification authored by a suitable professional.

4. Bias and representation

AI models inherit the biases of their training data. Floori's models may over-represent certain styles, colours or materials popular in the data they have seen. We mitigate this with prompt design and post-processing, but we cannot eliminate bias entirely. If you feel a material direction is unrepresentative, please re-prompt with explicit constraints or contact us with feedback.

5. High-risk uses are prohibited

You may not use Floori Outputs to make decisions in domains that carry safety, legal, financial or medical consequences without independent professional verification. Examples of prohibited decisions made directly from Outputs include: structural changes; electrical or gas works; spec sheets given to insurers or mortgage lenders; rental listings claiming materials that have not been verified; or representations to local authorities.

6. Intellectual property and brand likeness

Outputs may stylistically resemble materials sold by registered building-materials brands. Floori does not certify, endorse or affirm any particular brand. You may not use Outputs to imply endorsement, to fake a brand product photograph, to replicate a registered name on packaging, or to create marketing material that misrepresents the source of a material.

7. Limit on our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FLOOR 1 LTD is not liable for any decision you, or anyone acting on your information, takes in reliance on an Output, including but not limited to wasted material purchases, unsuitable installations, contractor disputes, or ill-advised renovation work. Our total liability is governed by the limitation in the Terms of Service.

8. Reporting an output

If you believe an Output is harmful, infringing or unsafe (for instance, reproduces a copyrighted product image too closely, or depicts a property without authorisation), email support@flooronepro.com with the Output URL and a short explanation. We will review within two working days and remove the Output where appropriate.
